Summary of Myths

Many myths and legends tell stories that vary about him. One is "As the he rode across the sky in a golden ship, he bought warmth and light to all the creatures living on earth. When the sun set, he descended to the underworld and brought the light and warmth to the creatures that lived there. Each evening Ra's servants helped him battle his enemy, the might snake, Apep! He tried to swallow Ra and all of his creations. Some other stories said that Ra set sail along the body of Nut, sky goddess. During the day he traveled along the body, in the night he traveled through her body. These are only some of the myths and stories about Ra.
